Rooms to Rent in Southend-on-Sea

Our rooms start from £699 a month, all bills included. The rent on each room page is the whole monthly cost: there is no separate charge for gas, electricity, water, WiFi or council tax, and no agency fee.

Gas, electricity, water and broadband WiFi are included in every room, and council tax is covered where the room is your sole or main home. Rooms come furnished with a bed, wardrobe, drawers and desk, and the house has a fitted shared kitchen and laundry. Your tenancy agreement lists exactly what is included for your room.

No. You rent directly from the landlord. You pay the first month's rent and a deposit, and the deposit is shown on each room's page before you book a viewing.

Every deposit is registered with a government-approved tenancy deposit protection scheme, and you receive the scheme's certificate after you pay it. Disputes at the end of a tenancy are settled independently by the scheme, not by us.

Our town-centre houses are under half a mile from Southend Central, with Southend Victoria a little further. Our Westcliff houses are a short walk from Westcliff station on the same c2c line. The stations near each house are listed on this page and on the house's own page.

Yes. c2c runs from Southend Central and Westcliff to London Fenchurch Street in under an hour, and Greater Anglia runs from Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street. Many of our tenants commute.

Yes. Our shared houses are licensed with Southend-on-Sea City Council where the council requires a licence, and are kept up to date with gas safety, electrical and fire safety checks. Our compliance page explains what is checked and when.
